GE eyes offshore oil and gas industry market

PT General Electric Indonesia (GEI) is expanding its business in to include the offshore oil and gas sector market as the company prepares to launch its new high bay facility in Batam, Riau Islands, next week, Kontan daily reported Saturday.
The facility, whose construction process began in 2011, will produce vertical subsea tree, which is used by offshore oil and gas companies.
GEI President Director Handry Satriago was quoted as saying that the offshore oil and gas sector in the country offers huge business opportunity for GE. (*)
