GE to provide technology , not build IGCC

U.S. technology giant General Electricts has the technology for integrated coal gasification and combined cycle power plant (IGCC) and is keen to support any companies willing to develop such a project in Indonesia.

 

On Wednesday, Petromindo.Com, in a news report titlted "GE to build coal gasification, power plant in Indonesia, quoted Bisnis Indonesia as saying that the U.S. company plannned to spend US$700 million to IGCC.

 

GE Energy's public relations officer Nicole Yeong in statement said the report was incorrect.

 

"What was said by our Country Executive during the interview with Bisnis Indonesia was GE Energy has the technology, and is keen to support Developers who wish to develop IGCC," GE Energy public relations officer Nicole Yeong said. (Bodega)
