GE to supply turbine for PLTGU Jawa-1 project

GE Power said it has won contract to supply turbine for the 2x800 MW PLTGU Jawa-1 gas and coal-fired power plant project, Kontan reported on Monday.
The paper quoted Country Leader of GE Gas Power Systems, George Arie W. Djohan as saying that the EPC contract for the PLTGU Jawa-1 project is currently being finalized by the consortium assigned to develop the project. He did not provide further details.
State-owned electricity firm PT PLN appointed a consortium comprising of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, Marubeni Corp and Sojitz Corp as the winning bidder for the estimated US$2 billion PLTGU Jawa-1 project. (*)
