IDX-listed coal miner, Golden Energy Mines (GEMS) targeted to complete the construction of two jetty facilities located in South Kalimantan and Jambi at this year's end, the company's President Director Fuganto Widjaja said.
The jetty facility in Bunati, South Kalimantan has capacity of between 4 million tons and 5 million tons while the one in Jambi could accommodate 1 million tons.
"The construction of jetties is aimed at supporting the company's target to ramp up production and efforts of cost efficiency," he said.
The money used for building the jetty was from the last year's IPO, reaching about Rp 2 trillion.
GEMS, a subsidiary of Sinar Mas Group, has 8 coal mining concessions covering 38,165 hectares with calorific value of between 5.200-6.100 kkal/kg (adb).
