GEMS' new port to complete this year

IDX-listed coal miner firm PT Golden Energy Mines (GEMS) recently stated that it targets to complete the construction of its new port at Bunati, South Kalimantan at the end of the first semester of this year.
The company stated in its 2012 annual report on Thursday that the project will be able to increase its annual production capacity by 4 to 12 million tons, as well as cutting its costs
GEMS, a subsidiary of Sinar Mas Group is the holding company of 12 subsidiaries, in which 10 subsidiaries are engaged in thermal coal mining covering 47,500 hectares of land with calorific value ranges between 5,200-6,100 kcal / kg (adb).
Its mining projects are entirely located in the territory of Indonesia spreading in South Sumatra, Jambi, South Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan.
