Coal mining consultant, PT Genesis Sumber Energi (GSE) is currently conducting feasibility study on its plan to develop railway connecting Kutai Barat to Kutai Timur in East Kalimantan for hauling coal.

Genesis has also acquired some 7 coal concession areas as part of the company's plan to extend its business from mining consultant to infrastructure development and coal mining in the province.

"We are currently on feasibility study to develop railway along 300 kilometers," the company's director Said Aziz told Petromindo, adding that the feasibility study was expected to be completed in 8 months.

He said that the company would use part of its external budget to finance the project with additional money from investors.

Headquartered in Jakarta, the company currently provides services of exploration, geological modeling, mine planning, coal marketing and asset brokerage.
