Genting awards drilling contract to China Oilfield Services

China Oilfield Services Limited (COSL) has signed a supplemental agreement to provide drilling services for Malaysian firm Genting Oil & Gas Limited (GOGL)?s upstream operation in the Natuna Sea.
COSL said in a statement on Wednesday it will tug its semi-submersible drilling rig Nanhai II to the designated location from Singapore at the end of June. Operation will commence in July and the contract is expected to be completed in mid October.
GOGL will be responsible for the mobilization and demobilization costs, and operation fees will be charged on day-rate basis, COSL said.
GOGL, through its subsidiaries, operates two exploration blocks in Natuna Sea. The blocks are the Northwest Natuna and Anambas PSCs.
COSL is a subsidiary of CNOOC Limited. (Robert)
