Genting closer to get PoD approved

Malaysian oil, gas firm Genting Oil is one step closer to get its Plan of Development (PoD) on Kasuri gas block in West Papua approved.
Director General of Oil and Gas at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources I Gusti Nyoman Wiratmaja Puja told Petromindo.Com that PoD on Asap-Merah-Kido has been approved by upstream authority SKK Migas and is now waiting for final approval from Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources. Under the Indonesian regulation, first PoD must be approved by Minister of Energy end Mineral Resources.
Wiratmaja did not give further detail.
A Petromindo source said that the PoD called for production of 150-200MMCFD of gas, which will be dedicated to feed planned petrochemical or fertilizer plant.
German firm Ferrostaal AG is reportedly interested to build a petchem plant utilizing gas from Asap-Merah-Kido gas field.
