Genting in Kasuri drilling campaign

Malaysian firm Genting Oil & Gas Limited will drill four more exploration wells in Kasuri block in West Papua following a major discovery it has made earlier, an official with upstream oil, gas company BPMIGAS said.
Spokesman Elan Biantoro told Petromindo.Com on Thursday that Genting is trying to meet its exploration commitment to drill 5 wells in the block.
Elan said Genting has` secured one drilling rig and is in the process to secure another.
Earlier this year, Genting drilled Asap #1 well, which flowed 100MMCFD of gas during drill-stem test from three layers.
According to the company?s website, the Block is located onshore the Bomberai Peninsula . The block surrounds and includes the Tangguh LNG Plant, where gas from the immediate vicinity can be processed.(godang)
