Geo Dipa seeks up to $1.8b loans

State-owned geothermal power company PT Geo Dipa Energi is seeking loans worth up to US$1.8 billion to help finance its various geothermal projects.
Geo Dipa President Director Riki Ibrahim told Petromindo.com that the company expected $500 million loan from the World Bank, $450 million from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), $350 million from Germany?s KfW Development Bank, and $500 million from Japan?s JICA.
Geo Dipa is currently developing four geothermal areas including existing Dieng and Patuha geothermal projects, each with potential capacity of 400 MW, and two newly obtained geothermal working areas called WKP Arjuno Welirang with estimated potential of 200 MW, and WKP Candi Umbul Telomoyo with estimated potential of 100 MW.
