Geo Hydro to develop mini hydro power plant in N. Sumatra

PT Geo Hydro Utama Energy is developing a mini hydro power plant project with a capacity of 6.4 MW in Serdang Bedagai Regency, North Sumatra Province.

Sjahrian Harahap, President Director of the company told Petromindo.com on Wednesday that the project will take advantage of the stream of Buaya River with estimated investment of around Rp 230 billion.

Sjahrian added that currently the company is still waiting for the signing of the power purchase agreement with PT PLN.

"We have done the scoping study, we have completed feasibility study, and we have obtained the location permit," he said, adding that the company has also obtained the business license for power supply.
