State-owned PT Geodipa Energi said that it has completed the Environmental Impact Analysis (AMDAL) and pre-Feasibility Study (FS) of the Candradimuka geothermal prospect in Central Java.

This was said by President Director of Geo Dipa Riki F. Ibrahim to Petromindo.com on Thursday. He said that the pre-FS shows that the Candradimuka prospect offers potential for the development of 1x60 MW or 2x30 MW power plant.

Riki said earlier that if exploration drilling program which is scheduled for this year runs well, the feasibility study can be completed in 2018.

This year the company is planning to drill three slim holes at Candradimuka geothermal prospect up to 1,500 meters depth. The exploration drilling of three slim holes is aimed at determining the proven reserves of the prospect. Candradimuka is one of the prospects at Dieng Geothermal Working Area in Central Java. Candradimuka prospect is estimated to have 54.5 MWe resources.
