Geodipa plans slim-hole drilling at Candradimuka prospect in 2017

State-owned PT Geodipa Energi is planning to drill three slim holes at Candradimuka geothermal prospect up to 1,500 meters depth in 2017. President Director Riki F. Ibrahim told Petromindo.com Wednesday that the exploration drilling of three slim holes is aimed at determining the proven reserves of the prospect.

"After finding the exact volume of the geothermal reserves at the prospect, we will continue to conduct drilling of production well for producing steam," he said, adding that for the three slim holes the company is budgeting around US$7 million.

Candradimuka is one of the prospects at Dieng Geothermal Working Area in Central Java. Candradimuka prospect is estatimed to have 54.5 MWe resources.
