Geology agency launches Metallogeny map

Geology agency at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources launched a Metallogeny map on Tuesday, expected to be a guide for mineral ores explorers in the country.

"This map shows the spread of mineral deposit linked with its geological condition," R. Sukhyar, the agency head said.

The map with ratio of 1 : 5 million would guide the explorers in finding minerals across the country, said Sukhyar.

To provide more information for the explorers he said that the agency plans to create more metallogeny maps with information of the spread of all minerals for each island across the vast archipelago country.
