Geothermal associations seek guarantee from PLN

The Indonesian Geothermal Association (API) has demanded state power company PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) to provide guarantee that the firm will buy electricity to be produced by geothermal projects in the country.

Chairman of API Suryadarma said the guarantee is seen important because of the huge investment needed to develop geothermal project.

API also requested that PLN should pay the electricity on time even though until now there is no problem. ?Investors need assure about PLN?s on time payment commitment,? he said. (*)
