GL-Nusantara designs RBI

The Directorate General of Oil and Gas, in cooperation with PT GL-Nusantara, is designing a risk based inspection (RBI) system as a standard in oil and gas plant installation to reduce maintenance cost, improve safety and protect the environment.

I Wayan Suryana, the head of standardization at the Directorate General of Oil and Gas, said RBI would be implemented since the planning of a plant installation until its operation by calculating all risks.

"Thus, RBI has two important dimensions, namely probability and risk consequence that may happen in the oil and gas installation," he said. (*)
