EPC firm PT Global Enviro Technology (GET) is in talks with Tiriputra Group, a diversified group which is among others involved in palm oil plantation business, to build a 3-MW biogas power plant.

?Now we are still in talks over commercial aspect,? GET?s General Manager Rudy Hikmanudin told Petromindo.com on Wednesday.

Once a deal has been reached, they will go to state owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) to sign a power purchasing agreement (PPA). The plant will be built through Build Operate Transfer (BOT) scheme.

Rudy said the firm is now focused on building gas and biogas-fired power plants. The biogas is sourced from among others palm oil and cassava waste. The biogas power plants are scattered in Java and Kalimantan, while the gas power plant is located in Java. The biogas power plants are among others owned by palm oil plantation firms Wilmar and Sinar Mas.
