Global Haditech wins tender to install flowmeter in oil, gas wells

Engineering services company and equipment supplier PT Global Hadictech had in February of this year won tender for the installation of flowmeter in oil and gas wells in the country.
According to information obtained by Petromindo.com, Global Haditech outbid five competitors in a tender held by upstream oil and gas authority SKK Migas. The five other bidders included PT Rexaudia Sasada Sentosa, PT Green Summit International, PT Sigma Cipta Utama, PT Transavia Otomasi Pratama and PT Industri Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Persero). In the first phase, Global Haditech will install flowmeters at 200 oil and gas wells.
The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in the latter part of last year issued Ministerial Regulation No 39/2016 requiring the installation of flowmeter at oil and gas blocks operated by production sharing contractors in the country to help better measure oil and gas production at each well. The regulation stipulates that the flowmeters must have already been installed within a six-month period ending May 25, 2017.
Oil output from the fields are stored in storage tanks. The government currently obtains oil and gas production figure from reports submitted by the oil and gas contractors operating the blocks. The government and SKK Migas only measure oil lifting, the volume of crude oil flowed from the tanks to vessels for shipment.
