Global Karya wins photovoltaic power plant project

PT Global Karya Karya Mandiri has been named as the winning bidder for the development of a 2 MW photovoltaic power plant in Kotabaru, South Kalimantan, Kontan reported Friday.
This was said by Alihudin Sitompul, Director for New and Renewable Energy at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. He said that the power plant is expected to start operation at the end of this year.
Previously, the government announced two other companies PT Len Industri and PT Brantas Energi as the winning bidders for similar project, respectively in Kupang (5MW) and Gorontalo (2MW). (*)
