Golar says NR Satu FSRU officially on hire

LNG vessel provider Golar LNG reported on Wednesday that the Nusantara Regas Satu (NR Satu) LNG floating storage and regasifaction unit (FSRU) was officially delivered to charterer PT Nusantara Regas on May 4, 2012 and has been on hire since that date.

The vessel is on 11-year charter to PT Nusantara Regas, a joint venture between state companies PT PGN (Persero) and PT Pertamina (Persero) that runs a floating LNG receiving terminal in Jakarta.

?In cooperation with the Charterer, PT Nusantara Regas, the FSRU is currently being commissioned following which normal operations will commence,? the company said.

The company said it might sell NR Satu to its 65.5 percent-owned subsidiary Golar LNG Partners LP. ?Golar Partners has an option to purchase NR Satu from the Company at market value and management is currently discussing the terms and timing of a possible acquisition,? it said.
