Golden Eagle revises upward coal reserves at TRA

IDX-listed coal mining company PT Golden Eagle Energy Tbk said that it has revised upward the coal reserves and resources at its concession in Musi Rawas Utara Regency, South Sumatra, operated by subsidiary PT Triaryani (TRA).

According to the recent independent assessment of previous exploration data by Mining One Consultants based on JORC standard, the coal resources at the concession were revised upward to 406 million tons from 384 million tons previously.

Meanwhile, the coal reserves have been revised upward to 257 million tons from 242 million tons.

The TRA concession is divided into three blocks including Block Malam 1, Block Malam 2, and Block Betung. The company has completed exploration of the first two blocks, and recently started drilling of Block Betung using three Jacro rigs. The company has started coal production since February 2013 through surface cut mining method.
