IDX-listed coal mining company PT Golden Eagle Energy Tbk saw coal production in the first semester of this year increased by more than 35 percent to 450,000 tons from 333,000 tons in the January-June period of last year.
This was said by company President Director Roza Permana to Petromindo.com on Monday in Jakarta.
He estimated higher coal output in the third quarter period.
In relation to capital expenditure, Roza said that the spending was mostly made for developing portable crushing plant at its concession in South Sumatra worth about Rp 5 billion.
Golden Eagle, which has coal mines in South Kalimantan (run by indirect subsidiary PT International Prima Coal/IPC) and in South Sumatra (PT Triaryani), said previously it hoped to be able to produce about 1-1.3 million tons of coal this year.
