Golden Energy builds coal terminal

IDX-listed coal mining firm PT Golden Energy Mines Tbk (GEMS) is building a coal terminal near its coal mine in Teluk Nilau village, Tanjung Jabung Barat regency,

Jambi to store its coal before being shipped to local and overseas buyers.

The company?s corporate secretary Sudin said that the construction of the terminal which would have receiving capacity of between one to three million tons a year was scheduled for completion in the third quarter of this year.

In addition to the Teluk Nilau mine, Golden Energy, part of the Sinar Mas Group, also operates a number of coal mines in South and Central Kalimantan . This year, the company expects to produce 9 million tons.

?But, we cannot unveil the unrealized production during the first quarter, because the amount is being verified,? Sudin told Petromindo.com.
