IDX-listed coal mining firm PT Golden Energy Mines Tbk plans to increase coal export to the Philippines this year to around 500,000 tons from 200,000 tons last year.

?We?ll try to increase (export) to the Philippine market,? said Golden Energy President Director Bonifasius to Petromindo.com on Thursday.

He said that export to the Philippines last year accounted for only about 3 percent of the company?s total sales volume.

Golden Energy, which is part of the well-diversified Sinar Mas Group, plans to boost coal output this year to around 15 million tons from last year?s production target of 10 million tons, Director R. Utoro said last month.

Golden Energy has coal concessions located in South Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, Jambi, and South Sumatra provinces.
