Gov retracts 5 companies' C&C status

The Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources recently stated it has retracted the Clear and Clean status previously given in the first stage to four exploration stage coal mining companies and on the second stage to iron sand miner.
The four coal miners are PT Bakti Inti Guna with 4,969.47ha concession, PT Banua Makmur Sejahtera with 10,425.66ha concession area, PT Bumi Mineralindo Jaya with 9,644.50ha area and PT General Energy Indonesia with 5,166.85ha area in Bulungan East Kalimantan.
The iron sand miner is PT Halmahera Sentra Mineral, with up to 1,500ha concession area in North Halmahera, North Maluku, currently entering production operation stage.
The ministry didn't state the details behind the retraction, while the concerning companies weren't available for comment.
