The government is accelerating the development of the dry port at Kawasan Industri Terpadu Batang (KITB), Central Java, as part of efforts to strengthen the national logistics system.

The Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs said the dry port is being positioned as an integrated logistics hub aimed at improving efficiency, enhancing connectivity, and supporting smoother domestic and export cargo flows.

The initiative is expected to help reduce logistics costs and improve supply chain performance, particularly as the country seeks to boost competitiveness in regional and global markets.

Officials said the development of the KITB dry port will support the creation of a more modern and efficient logistics ecosystem, linking industrial zones with ports and transportation networks.

The project forms part of broader efforts to optimize infrastructure and streamline goods movement across the archipelago, as demand for logistics services continues to grow alongside industrial expansion and export activity.
