The government lowered the retail price of fuel products in the country starting Tuesday in line with declining crude price in the global market.

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources said in a statement that other factors affecting the domestic fuel price is the exchange rate of the rupiah against the US dollar, fuel distribution cost, and storage expenses.

According to Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Regulation No 39/2015, the minister adjusts fuel prices every three months.

The statement said that the price of automotive diesel is lowered to Rp 5,650 per liter from Rp 6,700 per liter, while the price of RON 88 Premium brand gasoline is cut down to Rp 7,050 per liter from Rp 7,400 per liter in the Java-Madura-Bali (Jamali) region, and to Rp 6,950 per liter from Rp 7,300 per liter in outside the Jamali region. The price of kerosene is maintained at Rp 2,500 per liter.
