The government is currently in the process of drawing up a roadmap for domestic gas utilization in a bid to maximize gas utilization and investment.

Vice Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Susilo Siswoutomo said that the roadmap will draw up the current domestic gas consumers, and future projection, for instance, the picture for 2030.

?From there (the roadmap), we?ll know for certain, the priority pipeline to be developed (the location). In less economical areas, probably what needs to be developed is FSRU (floating storage and regasification unit) or CNG. This requires cooperation from industries, state-owned enterprises and other players so that we?ll have a good roadmap,? he said on the sidelines of The 3rd United-Indonesia Energy Investment Roundtable on Monday.

Susilo said that the roadmap is being developed jointly by the ministry, upstream authority SKK Migas, PT Perusahaaan Gas Negara, and PT Pertagas.

The road map will help the government in developing an integrated system, to provide maximum benefits for the consumers.
