The Office of the State Minister of State Owned Enterprises has decided to extend the current tenure of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina acting president director Yenni Andayani as the government has yet to decide on who will assume the company top post following the dismissal of Dwi Sutjipto a month ago, Kontan reported on Wednesday.

The paper quoted State Minister of State Owned Enterprises Rini Soemarno as saying that although her office already have the list of candidates to fill the Pertamina top post, the government could not yet make decision within the next couple of days as President Joko Widodo will be quite busy this week with the upcoming March 1-9 visit of Saudi Arabia King Salman bin Abdulazziz al Saud.

The government dismissed in early February Dwi from Pertamina president director post along with vice president director Ahmad Bambang due to conflicts between the two leaders of the company. Rini then appointed Yenni as acting president director of the company. (*)
