Government probes HRP import from three countries

The Indonesian Anti-Dumping Committee (KADI) at the Ministry of Trade has recently started probe into hot rolled plate (HRP) from three countries including China, Singapore and Ukraine amid alleged dumping practices.
KADI Head Ernawati said that the probe, which was started May 22, was made following complaints from three domestic steel producers PT Gunung Rajapaksi, PT Gunawan Dianjaya Steel and PT Jaya Pari Steel.
She said that the probe will include a review of the existing anti-dumping duty imposed in 2012 on the steel products from the three aforementioned countries to see whether local industry continues to suffer losses from the dumping practices.
