Government to develop 600 km toll roads next year

The Indonesian government plans to develop up to 600 kilometers long of toll roads in 2020.

Director for Facilities and Infrastructure of the National Development Planning Kennedy Simanjuntak revealed the government’s plan during a hearing with the House of Representatives (DPR) Budget Working Committee on Monday (24/06), detik.com reported.

”Up to 500 kilometers of roads and 600 kilometers of toll road will be developed,” he said during a hearing with the Budget Working Committee.

The toll roads will link ports and airports, he said.

The Joko Widodo government has aggressively developed toll roads on Java, Sumatera and Kalimantan islands. (*)
