Government to offer 15 oil, gas working areas next month

The government will offer 15 oil and gas working areas to investors next month, and will apply the recently-introduced gross split scheme in the production sharing contract of the blocks.
This was said by Director General of Oil and Gas at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources IGN Wiratmaja Puja on Tuesday.
?There are around 15 working areas (WKs) that are ready to be offered (to investors) in the first semester of 2017,? Wiratmaja said.
The list of the 15 WKs to be offered to investors next month is as follows.
Conventional WKs:
Offered through regular tender:
1. WK Durian in Riau Islands Province.
2. WK Tanimbar in Maluku Province.
3. WK Memberamo in Papua.
Through direct offer mechanism:
1. WK Andaman 1.
2. WK Andaman 2.
3. WK South Tuna in Riau Islands
4. WK Merak in Banten and Lampung.
5. WK Pekawai in East Kalimantan
6. WK West Yamdena in Maluku.
7. WK Kasuri in West di Papua.
Non-conventional WKs:
Shale Hydrocarbon:
1. WK Jambi 1 in Jambi.
2. WK Jambi 2 in Jambi.
Coal bed methane:
1. WK Raja in South Sumatra
2. WK Bungamas in South Sumatra
3. WK West Air Komering in South Sumatra.
