The government plans to gradually revoke subsidy for some 23 million household customers of state-owned electricity company PLN next year as they?re no longer deemed to be categorized in the low income category.

This was said by Director General of Electricity Jarman (one name) last week.

There are currently about 48 million households subscribing to power capacities of 450 and 900 VA, which are still subsidized. Jarman said that only about 24.7 million are considered eligible to continue to receive government subsidy. (*)
