Govt announces exploration blocks tender round

Government announced on Thursday the opening of tender for 25 exploration blocks that span from Sumatra to Papua.

Director General of Oil and Gas Luluk Sumiarso said that bid documents would be available from June 17, 2008 with closing date of July 31, 2008.

The tender is the first acreages offering for this year.

Luluk said that the blocks are tendered under ?direct offer? scheme.

Another 25 blocks would be offered in October this year, he said. (godang)
