Govt announces new bidding round

Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources announced on Monday the opening of the second 2009 exploration blocks bidding round by offering 24 new blocks.

Director General of Oil and Gas Evita Legowo said the blocks offered comprised of 12 blocks offered through regular bidding round and another 12 through direct offer.

The 12 blocks offered through regular bidding round are: 1) SE Andaman, 2) tarakan 1, 3) Tarakan 2, 4) Tarakan 3, 5) North Masela, 6) West berau, 7) Cendrawasih Bay 1, 8) Cendrawasih Bay 2, 9) Cendrawasih Bay 3, 10) Cendrawasih Bay 4, 11) Cendrawasih Bay 5, 12) East Aru.

The blocks offered through direct offer mechanism are: 1) Puri, 2) Sakakemang, 3) Selar, 4) Sunda Strait 1, 5) North Madura, 6) Karapan, 7) Mandala, 8) Long Hubung -Long Bangun, 9) Malunda, 10) Sadang, 11)South Mandar and 12) South Sageri.

For direct offer bidding round, document can be accessed from December 15 through January 28, 2010 with document submission scheduled on January 29, 2010.

Fore regular bidding round, document access would be from December 15 through April 12, 2010 with document submission scheduled on April 14, 2010. (godang)
