Govt approves contract termination of 4 blocks

Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has approved termination of four exploration blocks in 2014, an official with upstream authority SKKMigas said.
Spokesperson Zudaldi Rafdi told Petromindo.Com on Tuesday that until April 2014, the ministry has approved contract termination of Manokwari PSC (West Papua) operated by Ecosse Energy, Enrekang PSC (South Sulawesi) operated by Sigma Energy Petrogas, Alas Jati PSC (Onshore East Java) operated by Insan Bina Perkasa and SE Palung Aru PSC (Maluku) operated by CNOOC.
Zudaldi said the reason for termination was due to expired exploration period.
