Trade Ministry Gita Wirjawan said that his office has issued export licenses to 22 firms allowing them to export mineral ores.
"We have issued export licenses to 22 companies so far," Gita told Petromindo at the State Palace.
In June the number of export licenses increased by 13, according to the minister.
Indonesia banned holders of Mining Business Permit (IUP) from exporting 65 unprocessed mining products unless they submit a plan to build a smelter and pay a 20-percent export tax.
The regulation is aimed at controlling exports of the raw commodities which have increased significantly in recent years.
