Govt awards oil, gas and CBM blocks
CBM tender winners include Total and BP

The winners of tender are the consortium of PT Lion Gobal Energi - PTBA (Persero) Tbk which got Sijunjung block in West Sumatra; the consortium of Senyiur CBM Inc-Total E&P which was awarded Kutai Barat block; PT Sugico Graha which got Kutai Timur block; the consortium of PT TransAsia Resources - BP Exploration Indonesia Ltd that won Kapuas I, II and III blocks.
In a November 2010 statement, the government announced the tender of five blocks, rather than six, under direct proposal. The Kapuas III block was not part of the five.
The government also announced on Friday the winners of the tender for new oil, gas blocks under direct proposal scheme. The winners and the blocks they respectively won are Natuna Ventures B.V for Gurita block in Natuna; Australian firm Cooper Energy for Sumbagsel block in South Sumatra; PT Schintar for Marquisa block in North Sumatra; PT Mandiri Panca Usaha for Sembilang block in Riau island; and Techwin Energy Ltd for South Betung in southern part of Sumatra.
In November, 2010, the government offered 24 oil and gas blocks for investors to develop in the second round tender of 2010. The 24 blocks include 17 offered through a regular tender mechanism and 7 blocks through direct offer mechanism.
The other two blocks Arafura II and Indragiri Hilir failed to attract bidders. (bernard)
