Govt complains lack of commitment of CBM contractors

Of the 54 coal bed methane (CBM) working areas which have been awarded by the government to contractors, only six have been developed so far, while there?s no firm commitment for the rest yet, said Naryanto Wagimin, Upstream Director at the Directorate General of Oil and Gas.

He said that his office has been in coordination with the upstream oil and gas authority SKK Migas for the latter to push the contractors to realize their commitment to develop the CBM working areas.
