Govt delays Pertamina top management shake-up

Government has canceled plan to shake-up the Board of Directors of state oil and gas company Pertamina during shareholders? meeting that was held on Wednesday.

?There?s no top management reshuffle in the agenda at shareholders? meeting tonight, May be there will be (reshuffle) later, but not tonight,? Minister of State Enterprises Sofyan Djalil told reporters. Sofyan himself earlier said that top management shake-up would taken place in the shareholders? meeting.

Rumors have been circulated earlier that Upstream Director Sukusen Soemarinda and HRD Director Sumarsono would be replaced due to inability to meet Pertamina?s crude production target. Rumors also said that among the strong candidates to replace Sukusen are Pertamina CEO Expert Staff Karen Agustiawan, Pertamina EP CEO Tri Siwindono, former Pertamina EP CEO Kun Kurnaely and Pertamina?s GM for Cepu block Hestu Bagyo.
