Govt evaluates Pasangkayu block

The government will reassess all aspects pertaining to the Pasangkayu Block which has been relinquished by US oil and gas firm Marathon Energy after the company hit a dry hole in the PSC located in the Makassar Strait.
Director for Oil and Gas Upstream Management at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resource, Naryanto Wagiman said that the ministry would not be too hasty to put the block for tender in 2013.
?We?ll not hastily put the block on tender ? We must reassess it first,? he told Petromindo.com on Monday.
