Govt exempts floating storages from cabotage rules

Government said it would exempt oil and gas floating storages from cabotage rule that would allow only Indonesian -flagged vessels to working on long term contract in Indonesian waters starting January 2011.
Coordinating Minister for Economics Hatta Radjasa was quoted by media on Thursday as saying that foreign-flagged floating storages would be allowed to operate in Indonesian waters so long as Indonesian-flagged vessels are unavailable.(*)
