Govt expected to name new PLN president today

State-owned electricity company PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) is scheduled to hold a shareholders meeting today to among others appoint a new president director for the company.
Current PLN President Director Nur Pamudji is scheduled to end his tenure today (December 23). The shareholders meeting will be held at the office of the State Minister of State-Owned Enterprises.
Reports on Tuesday said that a team led by President Joko Widodo has obtained three candidates for the PLN top post. Reports quoting sources said that the three names include President Director of BRI, Sofyan Basyir, President Director of coal mining giant PTBA, Milawarma, and PLN Director Nasri Sebayang. (*)
