Govt grants "clean and clear? status to 278 IUP holders

The government has granted ?clean and clear" status to mining business permits of both coal and mineral mining companies that have no overlapping areas with any other mining permit holder.
Director General of Mineral and Coal at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Thamrin Sihite announced the the names of companies with clean and clear status on Oct 17.
It is the seventh announcement made by the government on the same matter so far.
The first announcement was made in July 2011 awarding the clean and clear status to 1,509 IUP holders. The second and the third ones came in February 28 and May 10 with 373 and 235 companies, respectively, while the fourth came in May 30 with 211 companies declared as having clean and clear status.
The government has made the clean and clear status as one of requirements for miners to be allowed to export mineral ores before 2014.
