The government has ?informally? cut the oil lifting target for this year from 900,000 barrels per day (bpd) to 840,000 bpd.
The government and the House of Representatives have set the 900,000 bpd target in the 2013 state budget, but SKK Migas has repeatedly said the target is unrealistic and thus should be revised down.
?It seems that the Ministry of Finance has informally revised the target to 840,000 bpd in the 2013 state budget,? Rudi said.
He noted that the national oil production averaged 841,000 bpd this month until May 12. The year-to-date output averaged 833,000 bpd.
