Most possibly, the government will reject the value of the 100 percent shares of the coal producer PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC). It sees the US$1.98 billion price, which was offered by the KPC, is too high, the Koran Tempo newspaper reported in its Thursday edition.
Director-general of geology and mineral resources Simon Sembiring said the government is still calculating the appropriate price for the KPC. It will be hopefully finished next week.
According to Simon, the price of KPC will be around $1 billion.
"More or less at that level,? he said in Jakarta on Wednesday. (*)
