Govt issues new regulation on VAT in fuel delivery for ships

The government has issued new Government Regulation No 15/2015 on value added tax (VAT) facility in the delivery of fuel products for ships serving international routes.
According to the copy of the new regulation, which was signed by President Joko Widodo on March 12, 2015, companies delivering the fuel products will be exempted from the VAT as long as they have domestic processing facility and fuel storage facility.
The particular fuel products include Marine Fuel Oil (MFO) 380 and Marine Gas Oil (MGO) which meet the specifications of ISO 8217 or specifications set by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
