The Directorate General of Oil and Gas at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources issued on December 13, 2013 new Regulation No 990.k/10/DJM.S/2013 on the standard and quality of dimethyl ether as gas fuel for households and industrial customers.
The directorate said in a statement Thursday that the new regulation requires suppliers/distributors of dimethyl ether gas to ensure the use of equipment that meet the oil and gas safety standard.
The new regulation comes after Minister Jero Wacik issued in September of 2013 Regulation No 29/2013 on the supply, use and marketing of dimethyl ether as fuel to help ensure national energy security.
