Govt launches new round of oil, gas and CBM tender

The Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry is offering 18 new oil and gas blocks and 9 coal bed methane (CBM) blocks in the bidding round of 2010 tender.

Twelve oil and gas blocks are offered in a regular tender. The blocks are Sokang, Singkil, Nias, Sunda Strait II, Sunda Strait III, Sunda Strait IV, South Kangean I, South Kangean II, SW Makassar, Wokam I, Wokam II and Digul.

Six blocks are offered through direct offer mechanism. They are North Sokang, NW Natuna, Titan, Bone, Onin and North Arafura.

For CBM blocks, there are five blocks offered through regular tender and four block through direct offer mechanism.

Bidding documents for directly-offered blocks can be obtained from June 30 until August 13, 2010 and bids should be submitted by August 18, 2010.

Meanwhile, companies interested in the blocks offered in regular tender can get bidding documents from June 30, 2010 until October 27, 2010 and they have to submit their bids by October 29, 2010. (godang)
