The government is currently selecting 24 candidates to fill the posts of the board of directors and board of commissioners of the state oil and gas company PT Pertamina as part of the company?s major management shake-up plan.

State Enterprises Minister Mustafa Abubakar confirmed the plan on Monday, saying that the selection process to replace Pertamina?s senior executives was underway. The reshuffle may include a replacement for president director Karen Agustiawan

There is a media speculation that Pertamina?s finance director Ferederick ST Siahaan will replace Karen, who has been in the company?s top post only since February last year.

The minister acknowledged that there were 24 candidates for Pertamina?s senior executive posts currently taking part in a series of tests. The results will be announced this month, he said, but he refused to comment on the speculation. (*)
